I don’t think it matters what kind of relationship it is. Adults don’t use corporal punishment on other adults. I doubt it could be ‘normal’ in terms of most relationships of any kind of pairing.

It is not “normal” for adult partners to use corporal punishment – at all. Gay, straight or otherwise. This indicates a superior/inferior or dominant/submissive dynamic in a relationship that is unhealthy.

I am the “wife” in a gay relationship. I fill the traditional role of wife as best I can in all respects. My husband, when I don’t do as he says or keep the house clean or make myself available for is sexual needs punishes me with slaps or spankings and the like. I don’t like the punishment but my husband is the boss of our relationship and sometimes I deserve to be punished when I disobey. I don’t know about other persons’ relationships but ours is normal to me.
