Is it normal for a 91 mercury capri to use alot of coolant Always topping up the reserve?
Just like oil, coolant can be used up within the engine. However, “top-offs” should really only be done during oil changes. If it seems that your engine is using coolant more than it should, and you could have a cooling system problem somewhere. Have it checked as soon as you can. If you have to add coolant more than three a times a month, I’d say you might have a cooling system problem.
