Is it necessary to use a barcode reader to access the chapters and frames found on laser discs?
A – You can certainly use a barcode reader but you can also use your remote, as long as the barcodes have numbers below them. If the barcodes display a number it is probably the frame number. You will need to use your DISPLAY key on your remote to access the frame menu. When you are in the frame mode, you can enter the numbers of the barcode on your remote, followed by ENTER. This will take you directly to the desired frame. When you are ready to play, press PLAY.
