Is it necessary to register an NPI for each facility location?

If a facility has chosen to subpart and has an NPI for each location, each location must register their specific NPI using the appropriate Medi-Cal provider number. If the facility did not subpart and has one NPI for all locations, then each Medi-Cal provider number will need to be registered separately using the one NPI.
