Is it necessary to record confirmed breeding of common species like Robin?

Ideally, yes. But remember that evidence other than nests constitutes confirmed breeding, and its likely that youll see at least one pair carrying food or see/hear fledglings. However, for species such as Robin, wed much prefer to see “probable breeding” in every tetrad, rather than “confirmed” in a few and only “possible” in many others.
