Is it necessary to crate LCD and DLP TVs?

0

No, it isn’t necessary to crate LCD and DLP TV’s, but most Van lines advise it for LCD’s so that no mistakes are made during the initial evaluation of the piece. The DLP is usually not crated but could be at the request of our customer. MSS suggests that any DLP or LCD over 40″ diagonal should be crated to protect the screen. There is a new DLP that can be hung on a wall like the Plasma’s and LCD’s and it would probably be wise to consider it on that model.
