Is it necessary to adjust for water bath temperature variations?
If there are extremes in temperature variation, it would probably be advisable to make that adjustment. Under normal circumstances in a typical production environment, a sixty-degree change in water temperature will induce an approximate 2% variation in water density. But the normal variation of ten degrees experienced in most shops does not introduce much of an error, and is usually disregarded. Procedures are available to make the correction, if needed.
