Is it necessary for infants or children to apply sunscreen? What kinds of products are applicable for them?
We do not recommend applying sunscreen for infants since their skin is delicate. Keep them away from direct sunlight. It is necessary for children who go outside to apply sunscreen. An American researcher reported that UV rays, which we are exposed to in our young days, will eventually cause skin cancer in later years. Thus, pediatricians recommend applying sunscreen to children in the USA. In Japan, skin cancer is not so serious problem, but UV rays eventually cause wrinkles and pigmentation. Thus, we come to be aware of the importance of UV care for the children in Japan, too. We recommend kids to wear sunscreen for kids with SPF 10-20 since their skin is more delicate than that of adults.
