Is it necessary for birth and/or marriage certificates to be legalised?

0

Dutch, British and European certificates (international version) do not need to be legalised. All other certificates need to be legalised or have an Apostille. For information regarding legalisation of foreign certificates click here . Please note: if British birth certificates are used for other purposes, like an application for Dutch nationality or registering the birth certificate in the Netherlands, they will need an Apostille as well.
