Is it more economical to grow grass to feed livestock than growing corn feed?

I am a farmer and i have to have both grass and corn.hay in the winter used more for a filler, the corn, grain, and silage for protein and milk production.I wish i did not have to plant corn as that would save me about 10,000 a year.My animals are very important to me and i try to see that they are kept in good condition. If you have a cow producing 50 lbs of milk a day and you take away her corn and grain she will drop about half. It may be ok for raising beef but not for dairy.
