Applicant laboratories are required to successfully participate in atleast one Proficiency Testing program provided by NABL or other reputed institutions before grant of accreditation. Accredited laboratories are required to participate in Proficiency Testing programs covering all major areas in their scope of accreditation in a span of 4 years. The accredited medical laboratories are required to participate atleast once in a year, in the Proficiency Testing / External Quality Assurance Scheme, as appropriate.
