Is it legal to photograph on mass transit systems?
Generally speaking, yes. Mind you, I have had confrontations about photography before. A list of various transit agencies’ amateur photography regulations is available at nycsubway.org. And contrary to what some people will tell you, you are not aiding terrorists, nor are you a terrorist yourself, by photographing things, mass transit or otherwise.
