Is it legal to hunt with saiga 12 and dragunov sniper rifle?
Here in Kansas the only stipulations on the rifle being used is a minimum caliber of .277 for deer. I don’t know what the other game minimum requirement is, but it is a common sense measure to ethically kill the game quickly. Only an idiot would go out with an AR-15 (.223) and try to hunt deer. The Dragunov with 7.62/.308 is a great caliber for hunting deer or any other medium game. On the Saiga 12 it depends on which kind of hunting you’re talking. With slugs for deer ( I know that’s popular in the south, not so much in KS) I guess it would work. Of course if you have a Dragunov you wouldn’t need a shotgun to hunt deer depending on the environment. But for bird hunting the only legal issue would be considering your states magazine limit. Here in KS I think the maximum number of shells you can have in your gun is three. So if you had an eight or ten round magazine it could be a problem. I certainly wouldn’t want to bird hunt with it personally. A realtive of mine last year thought he’d
