Coins are still being sold that way. ON ebay you can buy “Conchos”, and “Replicas” that look just like the coin, front and back,but have a pin on them so they can be put on a vest, jacket or belt. There are strict rules on paper money, paper can’t be within 10% original size, and severe penalties for trying to pass them. Gag bills are made from real dollar bills.
