Is it just me that thinks boxing is better than ultimate fighting ?
I agree that MMA is a fad because UFC is the only company making any money at it and they are really not doing that much better than boxing and are still way behind wrestling and mainstream sports. I watch some MMA and boxing and I do not see MMA getting much bigger or lasting too much longer. Roller derby, X Games, kick boxing, poker, bowling, and arm wrestling are just a few of the sports fads I have seen come and go over the years. MMA has no mainstream stars (Lidell was close before Jackson punked him out) and if you have seen 2 guys hug and roll around on the ground once you have seen it a thousand times. When done right boxing is much better than MMA, but boxing is rarely done right. These snoozer decisions like Mayweather / De La Hoya are killing boxing because MMA has their own snoozer decisions, but they are the current media darling. Boxing will survive MMA, but how long it survives after MMA is gone will be based on what boxing learns from MMA about putting more action in fi
