Is it just me or does digital TV suck unbelievably?
Its been as pleasant as a hemmorhoid on a hot sweaty day! Prior to the transfer I got the little converter box, a TVPal, one of the higher rated boxes. Right away I picked up a few extra channels…and lost several of the major ones. I didn’t have access to the local ABC affiliate for a few weeks til, one day, ‘poof!’ there it was with no explanation & I’ve had it ever since. I live in an apartment building & am connected to a large outdoor VHF/UHF antenna. When I couldn’t pick up the ABC affiliate I called the station’s engineering department & the situation boggled their mind. They eventually suggested I get up on the building to change the direction of this giant antenna, run down & see if the signal came on, &, if not, run back up & readjust the antenna. I laughed. And did nothing except learn to live without ABC. And then one day the signal came on by itself. Its been there ever since.
