When you contract to have work performed in your home, remember that to do any project that totals over $500, a company must have a valid Contractor’s License. They are required to include this number on any materials they use to market their work, on their contracts, etc. By using a licensed contractor, you are assured that they are covered by the necessary bonding, insurance and worker’s compensation to protect you, the homeowner.
