Is it important that the thermographer be a licensed electrician?
A thorough detailed familiarity with the equipment inspected is paramount to an accurate diagnosis. One week training courses to Certify thermographers cannot substitute for the many years of experience it takes to obtain a state electrical contractors license. All of our thermographers were licensed electricians before becoming thermographic electrical inspectors.
