It is illegal But then insurance doesn’t pay out if you get robbed and you left your door unlocked does it In most cases theres almost no chance of getting caught…if someone is such a noob that they have the default network name, no wifi security, broadcasting ssid and dhcp enabled, they are simply asking for their net connection to be abused.
