Is it illegal to take a photograph of police arresting someone?
It is a common practice of police and security guards to threaten people who take their pictures. This is because they know what they did was wrong and don’t want to be caught. Think about it, cops can arrest people and detain them in the UK for something like 3 weeks for no reason or no charges. InCanada its 48 hours. This is what I havebeen complaining about that cops have too much power and are abusing it. Cops can threaten to throw you in jail, cops routinely abuse people they suspect of crimes with kicking and punching in the back and ribs, even after the person is handcuffed and not resisting. The last thing a cop wants is to be videotaped. However from my understanding you in the uk have no rights…..
