Is it illegal to shower with the window open?
If we’re talking indecent exposure laws; it’s perfectly legal to shower with your window open – indecent exposure is typically defined as the exposure of the *genitals* in a PUBLIC place – and in some cases with an attempt to offend other people. Other terms for it include public lewdness or public indency – your bathroom doesn’t count as a public place. It’s just the same if a passer-by saw someone undressing in their own home and they forgot to shut the blinds – there’s not a whole lot that can be done because it’s their own private property. So, if you’re comfortable showering with the window open, it’s up to you, and of course there are some measures you can take to increase your privacy – however, there’s really nothing the law can do about it. I mean, if it upsets people there’s an off-chance that an officer might knock on your door – but it’s not illegal.
