Is it illegal to sell knockoff designer purses on ebay?
Technically, the original sale of these purses was illegal, I don’t believe it’s any more legal to sell knock-offs on ebay, even if you specify it. The whole practice of buying and selling knock-offs is illegal. You could probably get away with it if the purses don’t have any logos and you sell them as designer inspired and do not mention any specific designer name. It is definitely not OK to use a designer name in the listing, especially the title, unless it is authentic. Frankly, it’s stuff like this that has made me stop buying from ebay. Too many stolen goods and illegal items and deceptive listings. I’m not saying you do any of this, I appreciate that you are checking before listing and I know you don’t have any intent to deceive.
