Is it illegal to read manga online?
It is illegal for the website to post scanned images to the web – but you happening to find them is not the crime. But I warn you, many of these sites have TONS of adware that they load to your PC when you get there. A friend of mine spent last weekend re-formatting his computer because mangafox.com loads as much adware onto your PC as they can. (If you are on a Mac, no worries). Onemanga.com seems to be the safe one. For me, reading online has two problems. 1) You’re taking money away from the authors/artists. 2) It just isn’t the same to read something online as it is to hold it. I understand not wanting to pay $10+ for every book – but there are always options to that. Local libraries carry quite a bit of manga in stock. Sites, like tokoynh.com sell “gently used” manga for less than 1/2 price of them new. Also, I’ve had great luck finding used manga on eBay – just last week I got the complete series of Death Note for $8 to sell in my shop. (Sold quick!) So, getting back to your ques
