why do want to post the nude pic of ur ex on the net ur a dog why not post ur own pic on the net it is illegal ’cause ur ex girlfriend is protected by law so without her approval or a paper signed that she agree that u post a naked pic of u can’t o as if she decide to sue you for this act she can n u will lose the case 100% u idiot it has already happened i think in 2008 somebody’s broke up with him so like he is an idiot as if for revenge he posted some naked pics of her on the net which he a think he regret enormously as he prompted to pay a very big big some of money for this act as he was sued by the girl so if u think u got alot of money so go ahead and do the job but if u think as a good man u won’t ok but for me u r still an idiot as the idea come from ur dead brain my friend aha haha idiot

Something illegal is violating a statute and having penalties, like jail, fine, etc. Calling the person who posted the question names only proves why some men post ex’s pix on line as they felt harassed or betrayed while in the relationship. Nonetheless, to answer the question, “it depends”, but generally it is not illegal. The issue is if consent for the pic was given, or if the pic was taken without consent, like a hidden camera. There must be an expectation of privacy. For example, if the ex is changing in her room and the boyfriend snaps pix through a window, and posts them, clearly she didn’t consent and that would be illegal (see California statute below).
