It’s legal if you have a permit. But if you think that a baby lion or tiger is going to stay the ‘size of a small dog’ for life, you’re already proving the fact that you’re not qualified. Here in the US, there are more tigers in private hands than there are in the wild, a sobering thought if you value the survival of the species. You’d be better off just donating time or money to a zoo or conservation group. The types of people who keep exotic large-breed wildlife as pets are doing more harm to the environment than good by supporting the exploitation of wildlife for non-conservation purposes.
