The TSA is going to consider your pellet gun a firearm. It is legal for US citizens to fly in the US with an unloaded firearm as long as it is declared, in a locked case or bag and is checked in as baggage. No ammunition can accompany it. For a foreign national, you need to contact the FAA to find out and I would get their instructions in writing on FAA leterhead. I’m a US citizen with a FFL and a Tx carry permit and I still get hassled every time I fly with a gun. As to “the caribbean” as your destination, laws will vary by each county. Check the country’s laws before you show up at customs with a gun, or you could be spending time in a Carribean jail.
