It is not very bright I am afraid. 50-85% of ALL antibiotics, prescribed for ALL reasons by doctors are thought to be unneccessary. In countries like Spain, where many antibiotics can be bought over the counter as much as 90% are taken without good cause. Even the simplest antibiotic has a 10% risk of causing side effects and these can occasionally be very serious.
