Is it Hot Wheel or Match Box Material?

This is always an important question to me when I buy any small scale cars. Too many times I have tried buying my kids the cheap generic brands to save a buck and have always been left feeling disappointed with a pile of broken and wheel-less cars. Those cheap plastic or thin metal cars just don’t hold up to the use and abuse that this sort of toy gets. So, I am always careful to make sure that the cars that we buy are die cast metal. This truck ended up being half and half. So the choice to buy it, wasn’t as cut and dry. While the Scooby-Doo! 1/64 Scale Truck is not Hot Wheels or Match Box brand, it is die cast metal. The actual truck or cab (with the exception of flimsy side mirrors, is made quite well. It is made of a heavy, thick metal. The trailer on the other hand, is made of plastic and isn’t made quite as good.
