I commend you on trying to lose weight through a better diet and exercise! Always the best course of action! Soup can be very healthy, and I eat a lot of it, though it doesn’t make up all of my diet. They tend to be fairly low in calories, while making up a filling meal. I think it all depends on the types of soup you are planning on having. I’d say that packet soup (like Cuppa Soup, where the packet contains powdered soup which you add to hot water) might not be the best kind of soup to have. To start with, some of them are high in salt and sugar which are best avoided at high levels. Some might contain additives and preservatives which are also better to avoid generally. I’d suggest that a better alternative would be to buy cartons or cans/tins of soup that have chunky bits of veg in them. You should check their ingredients for calories and fat content, and again high suqar/salt levels. I’d personally recommend Covent Garden soups as far as carton soups go. Soups with beans and lenti
