Is it hard work to look after a house rabbit?

Well, my rabbits are very well behaved and they never showed an interest in chewing/biting things. But, you have to litter train them to go in one spot, and not all over the house. :p You’d have to rabbit proof everything, litter train them, and make sure they don’t get out an open door! It’s alot of work, but if you are home most of the day, then it could end up working. Also, make sure you have a cage for the bunny to go in at night and sleep. I call it the “resting zone” it’s their hideout. Toilet training IS tricky. Have a decent sized litter box and put hay in it. Rabbits poop and eat at the same time, so they will start pooping in the box. If they go outside of the litter box, put any droppings back inside. And show them that. Good luck!
