Is it hard to install memory upgrades in laptops?
Physically installing the memory module in the slot on the motherboard is usually no more difficult on a laptop than it is on a desktop. You will probably have less space to work with, but the module should still slide into the slot easily. The part of the upgrade process that can sometimes be a little tricky is getting the laptop case open. Laptop cases vary greatly, but most can be opened with just a screwdriver. We recommend reading the owner’s manual that came with your laptop before trying to take it apart. Your owner’s manual should contain information on how to access your laptop’s motherboard and memory slots.
