Is it haram to watch Soap Operas?
Soap Operas are no more than a tv show that is over dramatic and involves way to many lives. Eventually these have and do impact the viewers lives. That is why there is so much disruption throughout society, especially in that of the disbelievers. They watch these and mrs.x was seen with mr.m last night and blah blah blah and later on the viewer keeps thinking about it and either gets suspicious of their own spouse or thinks it’s fun and attempt to do it or desire it. Basically it brings about fitnah. So I highly suggest you stop. And that’s really great that your brother feels that way. MashaAllah. I believe Allah granted him good gheera and a strong iman for him to be able to feel this way. May Allah make us all stronger, ameen.
