If you mean format your HDD then yea, if you’re talking about factory restore then no, heres why- Formating your HDD gives you back any unallocated space, and is also a good idea if you know you’re infected with spyware, malware or any kind of virus big or small. If you reformat you need a copy of windows vista, xp, or whatever operating system you use. Backup all importiant data to an external HDD or a bunch of DVDS. factory restore is not a good idea becuase it takes alot of time and does not really do anything but delete all your data. good luck.
