Is it good that when rich people visit their weekend homes in the countryside?
Try living here, the doctor, the dentist, the nearest shop and the nearest bank 8 miles away, when I lived in London all these things were in easy walking distance and I used to walk or cycle! We are ok but don’t get off on the stupid idea that everyone living in rural areas are rich, rural poverty is a fact of life, low paid farm and shop workers may have to travel travel 20 miles or more to work, they have no choice, we are not well served for bus routes, many of the people who live in these place have retired so they are on a fixed income, but when they moved out to the country at the end of their urban working lives (and some of them worked in factories so they are not all rich just ordinary working folk with a dream) they moved over and and made room for a young family to take their place and their job, and by the way petrol and diesel is a lot dearer out here because there is no competition!
