Is it good sign that celebrities and religious leaders entering in politics?
It is VERY VERY BAD for a country like India. Politics is all about ruling a country and treating all its citizens equally with respect. When a religious leader assumes power, his / her decisions, actions and attitude will be highly biased towards his / her religion, there by creating mistrust and its consequences. Religion in politics is a strict NO, for a multi-cultural, multi-religious country like India. Celebrities, especially movie and sports celebrities are just performers and most often are worse than ordinary people in politics. They just have star value and no value in terms of deliverables in governance. Let us not be taken away by their glamour. There are a lot many eligible people out there.
