Is it ever going to be possible for a writer to match the Harry Potter series?
It will be difficult for an author to match Rowling in terms of profit and proliferation. I don’t think it would be that hard though to match the Harry Potter series in other ways. Reading the books, you can clearly see that Rowling didn’t come into her own in terms of writing ability until around the 3rd or 4th book. The first two were quite simplistic, and as someone who grew up with the books I didn’t notice it while reading, but looking back now it’s easy to see. It probably won’t be for another 10 or 20 years that some author comes along and effectively markets a series as well as Rowling did, while also having some decent amount of writing ability. Main point being the following: A new idea will have to be invented. The market is more or less saturated now with that genre of ideas (vampires included in there) so until a new idea is produced that manages to gain the necessary momentum, no author will be able to rival J.K. for some time.
Well as a Harry Potter fan, I don’t think there will ever be a series as thrilling and brilliant as Harry Potter…fans of the lord of the rings believe that the Lord of the Rings is better while fans of Twilight believe that Twilight is better but honestly, I don’t think there has been any book such as great as Harry Potter. Rowling has not only been able to create a novel but has been able to create a whole new universe with its mysteries, creatures, spells, names, and everything. I also think that the films are brilliant. I think the cast were like they were born for those roles…It is as if Dan was born to be Harry, Emma was born to be Hermione, Rupert was born to be Ron, and the rest of the cast. I think if they do manage to create a remake of the films in the future, they will never be as good as the present day films. I admit I will watch them but nothing will take the spot of the current films. I grew up watching and reading Harry Potter and I will continue to watch and read t
