It is ethical because you are both adults and there was no chance of his “authority” coming into play. It is even more respectable because neither of you pursued the action while you were his student. The heart wants what it wants and you both passed the test. Now it’s time to get together.

No, it’s not unethical! In fact, I think the day you graduate you can date a teacher. As long as it doesn’t affect his teaching and your learning, and you are a legal age, I don’t see anything wrong with it. Go for it and good luck!
