Is it difficult to learn acoustic guitar?

Hi, good question! I’m 14 and I’m quite small so I have a 3 quarter sized acoustic guitar, which would solve the problem of an 11year old having trouble holding it. I’ve been playing for 7months and I’m doing my grade 3 exam next month. I’m grade 7 piano though, so can already read music, which helps a lot. If she can already read music, she’ll have a great advantage but if not, there are quite a few great rhymes I learned that really help. Notes aren’t as confusing as people say and are quite easy to pick up. If she’s having a teacher she will probably learn faster, but if she’s teaching herself I suggest she gets a good book to help, these are usually under or around £5. It is suggested that you practice daily for about an hour. This does help confidence, but if she has a lot else to do, it isn’t entirely neccassary. However time and dedication are key with any musical instrument. I hope I’ve been useful, and I hope you daughter decides to go for it!
