Is it difficult to install hardwood floors?
I always get bad scored on home improvement questions even though My husband and I have a contractinf company, but I am going to give it one more try since we have installed a lot of hardwood floors. Our experience has all been on a concrete slab. It is important for the floor to aclimate to the climate in your room for a few days before you start installing it. Hardwood floors are easier to install than tile. The hardest part is deciding whee to start. If you are doung one square or rectangular room it’s not as crucial. If the room has any islands or walls through the middle of it it is a little harder, especially if the island or walls are crooked. you want to be sure that when the floor meets again at the other side of the island or wall still meets py at the same place. 1/8″ off at the beginning of a run can be 2″ further down the line!
