Is it difficult to find parking at the Staten Island ferry terminal on a weekday (SI side)?

I want to visit NYC for a day and I’m looking for ways to park my car and get into the city on the cheap. I plan on arriving at around noon on a weekday. A: My understanding is that there are usually spaces available at one of the lots up the hill from the ferry terminal. I used it once mid-morning, and didn’t have a problem getting a space.
