Is it dealing only specifically with Medical Biotechnology?
This course will deal specifically with Medical Biotechnology. A second course called Environmental Biotechnology will also be available from September 2005. What practical training is involved? A 2 week laboratory training course is a compulsory component of this MSc. A short practical examination must be passed before transfer to the full laboratory Research Project. These projects will take place in “state of the art” laboratories supervised by University Principal Investigators and their post-doctoral, graduate and technical staff. What employment opportunities are available after completion of the course? This is a new course and so we do not have specific statistics on the employment of graduates. However this course has been established to respond to the rapid growth of the biotechnology industry particularly in the UK, Europe, US, China and India (and many other parts of Asia).
