Is it dangerous to drive a vehicle run by propane if an accident occurs?
Fires and disasters occur everyday with cars and gasoline that have not happened with those using alternative fuel. The taxi cab industry has taken major steps to make sure the use of alternative fuel is overly safe. Out of the thousands of accidents that have happened with taxi cabs in Southern Nevada in the last two decades, none have resulted in a propane fire. The vehicles are equipped with shut-off valves and other features to make sure propane is contained within the tanks.
