NO!, its not dangerous to cruise in the Caribbean during hurricane season because the cruise lines have the equipment to make sure that they know where hurricane’s are, AND they have plan for staying away from the hurricanes. If the hurricane is at/near the departure port on the day the cruise will depart they will typically wait a day or two to depart. If the ship is at sea they will alter the cruise route to stay away from the storm; typically changing the order of the port stops and/or substituting different ports. I went on a cruise once where the order of our port stops were changed due to a hurricane; but we had smooth sailing every day safely far away from it. The official hurricane season is June through the end of October, not just the next two months. So if you are planning a cruise, or have one booked then you should for sure get travel insurance.
