Butane has a vapour pressure of 254.55 kPa (absolute) (36.9 psi (absolute)) at 37.8oC (100 oF) and a flash point of -60oC (-76oF). Any flammable liquid with a vapour pressure not exceeding 275.8 kPa (absolute) at 37.8oC and having a flash point less than 37.8oC is considered a flammable liquid under the Fire Code. With a boiling point of 0.5 oC , butane is classified as a Class IA liquid.
