Is it considered bad etiquette to have a registry/bridal shower for a destination/elopement wedding?

Sometimes it is considered little awkward. Now a days people generally register with an online website and create a wedding website there. This wedding website gives them a facility to add their gift  registry information . You can send the invitation online and with this site you can convey your registry information to your guest without any embarrassment.

It’s totally okay to let someone throw you a bridal shower, and to have a registry. It’s NOT okay to put the registry info in ANY of the invites. If people want to buy you a gift, they’ll ask. If I were you I’d create a “wedsite” on theknot.com (there’s also a few other sites) so you can post all the gorgeous pics from your intimate ceremony (and share the little details with all your loved ones who won’t be going to it – so they can feel included if they want to). On the wedsite you can also include where you’re registered. In the invites to the bridal shower & reception, include the link to the site.
