Is it completely free software/open source?

0

Yes. All software that runs on the main CPU and can be updated by the user is available in source. Firmware in “black box” hardware modules that can not be modified by users is not available in source form. Effectively, these modules are “hardware only”. This allows, for example, that the driver for the GSM module be completely open sourced without violating any FCC rules.
