Is it common for children/teens to develop crushes on adults?
I don’t have statistics or anything…but I’d imagine it’d be common. Adults are who they look up to. I don’t believe that children would develop a romantic crush on an adult, though teenagers do. Children would be more prone to wanting to be just like the adult, and would trust whatever the adult does once there’s a connection between a child and adult. A teenager is closer to age to adults, making them feel like adults when they technically aren’t. So when more intimate feelings come into play, a teenager could definitely crush on an adult–since it’d be similar to crushing on a peer. Eh, just my opinion.
