Is it common for a dogo argentino to attack a child or adult?

No it is not. For such a large, powerful dog, they usually have very sound temperaments. Usually their aggression level is very appropriate to the situation, not excessive by any means. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a verified Dogo attack, much less a fatality.
