Is it cheaper to fly on Christmas Day and New Years Eve rather than on normal days?
Depending on demand (or the lack of it) it can be cheaper on Xmas and New Year’s Day to fly. Although in the past flying on Xmas or New Year’s Day was much less crowded than other days around those holidays, it’s much less so lately. It still may be cheaper than other days around that period, but normally still more expensive than if you waited until a week or so after New Year’s and a couple of weeks before Xmas. It’s easy enough to compare prices for those days by entering the dates or ticking the flexible option on many airline and travel websites.
