Is it cheaper to buy internal thailand flights in thailand?
I have been to Thailand and hands down your best bet is to wait till you get there to book your flights for 2 GREAT reasons. First, you will save a little bit of money by booking directly at the airport the day you fly. The more important reason is you might fall in love with a part of Thailand and not want to leave. Having non-refundable flight tickets will be an expensive thorn if you chose to stay and fly later. Depending on how long you will stay, i’d think you should limit your stay on Samui b/c it has become over run with McDonalds, Starbucks and is generally trashy. Go to Koh Phangan, where the beaches are pristine, relaxing and here you can experience a “real” adventure. I stayed at the Sanctuary. Any water taxi will know what you are talking about if you say it.
